NO JOURNAL WRITING TODAY
Blog Activity
As you have been working on the theme of Visitors, most recently- the three visitors from history, aliens, delivery guys, you will write a 20 line poem about these visitors or visitors in general. This poem must have some kind of analyzable point or meaning.
Task- write a 20 line poem that "sounds good", including material about "visitors"; share this with me by the end of the period.

February 26- Journal Writing and Yesterday's blog Activity
Journal Writing: Explain to Visiting Aliens
If you were trying to explain high school students to visiting aliens, how would you do it? Imagine that aliens wanted you to classify teenagers into four groups. Consider personality, intelligence, physical aptitude and other factors to come up with your four groups.
As always- 10 minutes, silently.

Starting Visitors- Finishing Historical Characters
Journal Writing: Delivery from a Visitor
You answer a knock at the door and find a delivery guy holding a package for you. You open it up and find...what? Describe the best package you can imagine receiving
Write for 10 minutes, silently.
***Blog Activity
Pick three figures that would be able to have a dialogue and/or react to one another. Your success and ease in this assignment lies in your selection of historical figures.
AFTER YOU HAVE DONE ALL OF YOUR PLANNING FOR THIS, WRITE A DIALOGUE BETWEEN THREE HISTORICAL FIGURES
Length- at least two pages of single spaced text. You may write this into a play format and you may enter into this conversation, if you so choose.
Save and Share this with me in a google doc.

Journeys- Journal and Connection
Journal Entry
In the year 3000, what will it be like? What kinds of cars, appliances etc will be available. Do you think people will be living on other planets? What will the "world" be like?
Write your thoughts about this and then describe a person walking around in the new world.
10 MINUTES FROM THE BEGINNING OF CLASS- Save this in your google docs
*Blog Activity
Find a connection between everything that we have written about in our journals and the blog from Friday- the moon, the center of the earth and even the future. Use the material that you have generated so far, in this course, to tell a story about an incredible journey. You may tell the "story" in whatever form and perspective you wish; it must, however, be at least one page, single spaced, and include the different places explored so far , in detail, to receive full credit.
Be sure to be thorough and "show" your audience where you have been, rather than merely telling them.
Have fun! Share this completed work to my e mail- buyce@bishopmaginn.org
